POSITION SUMMARY
The Steward / Dishwasher plays a critical role in supporting the culinary operations of Honest Hospitality Talent. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, service ware, and work areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
The Steward helps create an organized and efficient kitchen environment that allows the culinary team to execute at the highest level. Every task performed contributes directly to the success of the operation and the experience of our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
  • Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently
  • Remove food waste and debris from dishes prior to washing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and storage areas
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and sanitation products
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and maintain waste disposal areas
  • Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen floors and workspaces throughout service and at closing
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries as directed
  • Support kitchen staff with cleaning projects and operational needs as assigned
  • Follow opening and closing procedures for stewarding operations
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or sanitation concerns to Leadership promptly
  • Adhere to all sanitation, food safety, and health department regulations
