Mortgage Post Closing Specialist

City: Las Vegas

State/ Territory: Nevada

JFK Financial is a rapidly growing retail mortgage company in Las Vegas Nevada. We have been in business since 1995 and we are rapidly adding loan officers with large books of referral business which is one of the reasons why the company has consistently grown for the past 16 years regardless of market cycles. We are looking for a strong POST-CLOSING SPECIALIST who has a great work ethic to come in and make a difference.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Mortgage closing and post-closing are one of the most important steps in the entire mortgage process. It involves a thorough checking and review of the loan application in detail for completeness, accuracy, and integrity. The post-closing manager ensures loan files are audited, shipped, and sold correctly. Other duties include remaining up to date on all regulatory training and maintaining excellent customer service.

  • Ability to view loan files as a comprehensive picture of the borrower’s creditworthiness.
  • Developing, sending, and recording mortgage documents.
  • Prepare and audit loan documentation for all appropriate signatures/notarizations to ensure documents are compliant with state, lender, and investor requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with bank policies and ensure the title and lender are listed accurately on all paperwork.
  • Work with various systems and reports to assure that all deficiencies are cleared.
  • Promptly obtain any documentation requested by investors or insuring/guaranty post-closing.
  • Scan files into company archive within established company timeframes, to ensure timely delivery of loan files to investors.
  • Review closed loan documents for accuracy in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Follow up on missing items and process trailing documents.
  • Obtain recording information and input the same into the system.
  • Work with underwriters, processors, and funders to resolve deficiencies and resolve future deficiencies.
  • Always assure compliance with all regulatory and governmental standards, guidelines, rules and regulations, and the applicable state regulatory authorities, and any applicable federal, state, and/or local ordinances, administrative regulations, and statutes.
  • Assure compliance with JFK Financial policies and procedures.
  • Complete post-closing audit to ensure all files are recordable and salable.
  • Ship notes packages to the various warehouses daily.
  • Log in to all closing packages upon arrival.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to clear loans within 15-days.
