Medical Director, Clinical (Primary Care / Family Medicine)

New Port Richey, FL | Full-Time | Pay -$200k -$260k per annual + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director, Clinical to join a growing healthcare organization. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, working closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to oversee providers, improve patient outcomes, and drive clinical quality across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to physicians and advanced practice providers

• Supervise clinical operations and ensure high-quality patient care delivery

• Support provider onboarding, mentoring, and retention efforts

• Lead Quality Improvement (QI/QA) initiatives and performance tracking

• Collaborate with leadership on workflow efficiency and operational improvements

• Participate in policy development, planning, and clinical strategy

• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, documentation, and regulatory guidelines

• Contribute to organizational reporting and leadership meetings

• Maintain a patient-facing clinical role

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or related specialty

• Active (or eligible) Florida medical license

• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (Medical Director, Lead Physician, etc.)

• Experience in a multi-provider or outpatient setting

• Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic preferred)

NP/PA candidates with strong leadership experience in a similar setting may also be considered
