Position Overview

LA Health โ€“ Joyce Eisenberg Keefer Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a 13-week assignment supporting an Acute Psychiatric Unit.

The LCSW will provide clinical social work services to patients, including psychosocial assessments, treatment and discharge planning, and facilitating patient groups. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital-based experience and a background in inpatient psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients.
  • Participate in treatment planning and coordinate appropriate services.
  • Develop and assist with discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
  • Facilitate and participate in patient groups.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to address patient needs.
  • Provide clinical social work support to patients and families throughout the hospitalization.
  • Connect patients with appropriate community resources and post-discharge services.

Qualifications Active LCSW license/credential required. Prior travel experience required. Minimum 1 year of hospital experience strongly preferred. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. Geriatric psychiatry experience preferred. Strong communication, assessment, and care coordination skills.
