The Clinical Informatics Analyst II is dedicated to assisting the informatics team in supporting nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in their decision-making in all roles and settings to achieve desired outcomes as part of Information Technology (IT) at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). This support is accomplished through the use of information structures and information technology. Promotes design, comprehension, integration, optimization and use of information technology in the healthcare setting. Works with minimal supervision and acts as a resource for the Clinical Informatics Analyst I. This helps to ensure adequate and qualified support of clinical objectives and industry best practices.
A day in the life of a Clinical Informatics Analyst II at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Serve as a contributing member of the clinical applications team, dedicated to the development of electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice and align with the current best practice standards.
- Effectively share knowledge with and mentor Clinical Informatics Analyst I.
- Support development of change management strategy and execution for electronic health record systems for HMH.
- Support content and configuration of the various Electronic Health Record (EHR) modules. May include overseeing the work performed by Clinical Informatics Analyst I.
- Support business process engineering and governance across the design, build and roll out of the EHR for HMH. May include overseeing the work performed by Clinical Informatics Analyst I.
- Communicate necessary changes made in the application amongst team members and site contacts as directed.
- Participate in evaluating the design, build, implementation, testing and maintenance for new and existing EHR projects. May include overseeing the work performed by Clinical Informatics Analyst I.
- Provide rounding support as scheduled in units/departments in all hospital divisions as well as other HMH sites, to provide informatics related updates and collect feedback.
- Must be able to perform all other tasks assigned by IT leadership.
- Participate in system implementations and support during non-business hours as directed by IT leadership.
- Attend and contribute to EMR governance councils as assigned.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant Healthcare experience or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- EPIC Informatics certification at hire or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Minimum rate of $83,782.40 Annually
