The Role

At QuidelOrtho, we're advancing the power of diagnostics for a healthier future for all. Join our mission as our next Global Product Manager - Clinical Labs. This Global Product Manager role within the Clinical Labs Strategic Business unit is responsible for global marketing of the QuidelOrtho's Chemistry and Immunodiagnostic platforms, assays, automation and informatics.

This position is remote eligible supporting east coast working hours.

If you are located near our Rochester, NY or Raritan, NJ offices you may come in on an as needed basis.

The Responsibilities
  • Responsible for multiple product solutions, including: VITROS chemistry assays and products sourced from external partners, including the MicroTip Partnership Assay (MPA) Program of open-channel assay testing.

  • Builds business projections based on product portfolio roadmap, market assumptions and product performance expectations

  • Identifies opportunities for incremental growth and partners with global and regional marketing for execution, tracks KPIs and shares insights

  • Manages product quality, supply, and lifecycle prioritization by driving cross functional teams including R&D, Quality and Regulatory and Supply Chain to shape the evolution of the product portfolio

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' global product management experience in medical device or diagnostics industry required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to successfully influence and lead others without direct authority

  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Will be responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions.

  • Must apply sound judgment, escalating issues and decisions when necessary.

  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to be a team player to solve problems and incorporate input from various sources.

  • Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 20% overnight

  • This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship

The Key Working Relationship

Internal Partners:

  • Works closely with various stakeholders to develop products and as part of life cycle management of current products. Stakeholders included but not limited to: manufacturing, operations, quality, project management, finance and leadership. Additionally, works closely with regional partners to identify customer and commercial needs as well as strategy development and execution.

External Customers:

  • Works with various partner companies to fill menu gaps and build portfolio with product offerings

The Work Environment

Hybrid office environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills, and self-motivation to work autonomously and collectively with internal team members that are office or remotely based. Travel up to 20% including airplane, automobile, or train. Some overnight travel is required. Some global travel required.

The Physical Demands

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $135,000 USD to $150,000 USD and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
