Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)  is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our General Surgery Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full Time 

  • Work Shift: Days 

  • Hours: 8:00a.m - 4:30p.m

What Your Day Looks Like: Our clinic currently consists of four General Surgeons, four Physician Assistants, one Clinic Manager, one Nurse Coordinator, four RN’s and one MA. We provide a detailed training plan with a designated preceptor and clear expectations for our onboarding nurses during their first 90 days. We have all the perks that come with working in a clinic, such as flexibility, increased work/life balance, and no call required. Our nurses have the opportunity to help our specialists with niche clinical procedures such as incision and drainage of cysts and abscesses, skin tag removals, wound debridement and dressing changes, PEG tube, J tube, or G tube exchanges, anoscopies, hemorrhoid bandings, sclerotherapy, venous ablations, unna boot assistance, drainage tube assistance, suture removals, and port removals. 

As a Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse you will be:  

  • Prepping instruments, patient intake and assessments, assisting providers with procedures in clinic 

  • Providing patient education, patient follow-up and or case management, prior authorizations 

  • Inventory management, phone triaging, medical records requests, and other administrative duties. 

Qualifications: 

Education: Completion of an accredited program (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse)   

Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in the clinic setting (strongly preferred) or 4 hours of job shadowing in our clinic (required). 

Skills: Communication, confidence, empathy, professionalism, critical thinking, patient assessment, self-discipline, integrity, and willingness to learn.  

Licensure/Certification: Active Missouri License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse 

Physical Requirements: The ability to stand for long periods and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
