Job description

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician in Plainfield, IN. 
Skill Requirements:
Needs both electrical and mechanical skills 
Essential Functions
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic blow molding machine breakdowns.
  • Perform Preventative maintenance, modifications, updates, and enhancements to machinery.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Essential Physical Functions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good manual dexterity to work with small parts and tools.
  • Be comfortable working in heights and confined spaces.
  • Can withstand manufacturing working conditions.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors and Conditions
  • All tasks and responsibilities require working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant. - (exposure to disagreeable conditions typical to a manufacturing plant.)
  • When in the plant Personal Protective Equipment includes but is not limited to: safety footwear, eye, head, hearing and hand protection.
  • Performs duties in and around moving mechanical parts.
  • Performs duties in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant.
  • Wet and humid conditions at times.
  • High noise environment.
  • Exposure to dust.
  • May be subject to hazardous chemicals and fumes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong leadership skills, always leading by example, fostering a culture of positivity, professionalism, good work ethics, and inspiring teamwork.
  • Knowledge of blow molder and welders technicalities: Blow pin stands, blow molds, toolings, automatic weight control, automatic wall thickness control, heater systems, and fault analysis.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
