Job description

Location: Ishpeming
Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an Associate Human Resources Representative based at our Tilden Mine. In this dynamic position, you'll be the trusted partner to local managers and employees, driving key HR functions. Your attention to detail and commitment to service will have a direct impact on our workforce experience and operational excellence. Summary of Responsibilities
  • Manages recruiting processes in HR system, creates and maintains HR databases and files
  • Schedules interviews with hiring managers and follow up on candidate status
  • Coordinates recruiting including advertisement, interviewing, candidate management, and background checks
  • Responsible for employee onboarding, orientation, and training coordination
  • Conducts exit interviews on terminating employees
  • Maintain employee details in Workday (deductions, banking, tax details, etc.)
  • Process and submit 401K files to Fidelity each payroll via the web
  • Process reports using Workday reporting, Business Objects and Excel for distribution both internally and externally
  • Process, review and update special payrolls as directed (bonus, profit sharing)
  • Review year end reports from Workday to verify year to date totals for accurate W2 printing
  • Validate and update vacation rates for the hourly payroll
  • Post and fill hourly positions consistent with the language in the labor contract
  • Labor contract - thorough understanding of the labor contract as it applies to bargaining unit employees scheduling, vacation, pay, attendance, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
