SC&H’s Tax Department is seeking to hire multiple Tax Managers to support our rapid growth working out of any of our three office locations (Sparks, MD, Ellicott City, MD, and Tysons Corner, VA).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This key person acts as the focal point of contact between our firm and our middle market clients. She/he will lead tax engagement teams on various projects, handle all tax compliance and consulting issues for assigned clients, keep clients abreast of technical tax changes affecting their industry, identify opportunities to cross-sell, look for opportunities to expand tax services, assist with new business development, cultivate and maintain effective relationships with external contacts as well as audit counterparts on mutual audit/tax engagements and will mentor, train and assist a strong group of senior and staff associates.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
  • CPA is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years public accounting experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and advising Companies on their tax strategy
  • Previous Big 4/National or Regional firm experience preferred
  • Proven success training, mentoring and developing staff
  • Strong desire to deliver outstanding client service
  • Excellent research, writing, interpersonal and business development skills
  • Aptitude and desire to want to make Partner and grow our Tax Services Practice

Salary & Benefits

The expected annual base salary for this position is $100,000-$160,000. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
