Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships for a portfolio of Corporate Account clients, Advisors and Consultants. The client base is composed of retirement arrangements that vary in design and consist of a broad range of products and investments offered by the division. The incumbent will interact with Advisors and plan sponsors.

What will you do?

  • Maintain reactive contact with the clients/advisor to ensure satisfaction and loyalty

  • Continuously assess the evolving needs of the client/advisor and introduce services or product solutions to meet those needs over time

  • Accountable for the overall profitability of the clients

  • Participate in plan review meetings and consult on plan amendment and design changes

  • Actively participate with the sales leader in the sales process (i.e. contribute to developing proposal for services, attend short list presentations to describe GRS' client relationship process as well as key client services)

  • Work closely with all internal teams to ensure the best client outcome

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide

  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to follow through

  • Proven record in the Client Relationship Management field, with minimum of 5 years working with pension and group savings clients

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve client concerns

  • Strong client focus

  • Highly motivated, independent self-starter with strong business acumen and negotiation skills

  • Broad knowledge of the services provided by record-keeping organizations, such as Sun Life's Group Retirement Services

  • Extensive knowledge of the legislation governing retirement savings programs at both the federal and provincial levels as well as a solid understanding of emerging regulatory trends and the implications for clients

Assets:

  • A professional designation associated with the group retirement services industry (e.g. RPA, IFIC, CSC, other)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
