Description:
Our client is seeking a seasoned and hands-on Employee Relations Partner to support its global People Operations organization.
This role will help strengthen employee relations, HR compliance, policy management, operational governance, and process improvement across the employee lifecycle. The Employee Relations Partner will work closely with People Operations leaders and cross-functional partners, including Legal, Privacy, Security, Payroll, Finance, Information Technology, and Total Rewards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR generalist with strong employee relations judgment, a global perspective, and the ability to translate complex operational and compliance requirements into clear, practical solutions.
This is a contingent contract position.
Key
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations and HR Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and People Operations leaders on employee relations matters.
- Provide guidance on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, performance issues, and organizational practices.
- Conduct respectful, direct, and empathetic conversations involving sensitive employee matters.
- Support consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures.
- Identify employee relations risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Build strong, credible relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture.
Compliance and Policy Management
- Serve as an initial point of contact for relevant HR audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requests.
- Support compliance requirements throughout the global employee lifecycle, from hiring through separation.
- Partner with Legal and other stakeholders to review and operationalize HR policies and compliance obligations.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive process, policy, and knowledge documentation.
- Help develop controls and governance practices that support consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Identify compliance gaps and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Review People Operations and employee relations processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and automation.
- Facilitate workshops to document current processes and design more effective future-state workflows.
- Translate People Operations needs into clear business requirements for technology teams.
- Partner with IT to implement scalable, AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual work and improve employee experiences.
- Support continuous improvement across HR programs, systems, and operational processes.
- Use data and spreadsheets to evaluate processes, support decisions, and measure results.
Frameworks and Governance
- Develop standardized ways of working across the People Operations team.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence and functional leaders to implement consistent HR practices.
- Establish governance processes that promote accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain process guides, knowledge resources, and operational documentation.
- Help ensure that policies and processes are clearly communicated and consistently followed.
Systems and Operational Support
- Serve as a key People Operations contact for enterprise technology and systems teams.
- Support the review and improvement of Workday business processes.
- Work with case-management platforms such as Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
- Evaluate opportunities to use AI and automation platforms to improve HR service delivery.
- Help prioritize People Operations and Total Rewards technology needs.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new HR systems, workflows, and tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Delivery
- Partner closely with Legal, Privacy, Security, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Total Rewards.
- Represent People Operations in cross-functional projects and planning discussions.
- Ensure People Operations considerations are addressed early in projects that affect employees, policies, systems, or compliance.
- Translate project decisions into clear actions for People Operations leaders and teams.
- Coordinate stakeholders, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or employee relations.
- Strong employee relations and policy-management experience.
- Broad knowledge of HR programs, employment practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting global or multi-region People Operations.
- Deep understanding of the employee lifecycle, from hiring through separation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive workplace matters with integrity, discretion, and empathy.
- Experience reviewing and improving complex HR processes and workflows.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively solve problems.
- Strong relationship-building skills with credibility across all organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and data analysis to support decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday business processes.
- Experience with Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow, or other case-management platforms.
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools such as OpenCode, Apps Script, NotebookLM, Codex, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting HR audits, policy governance, and global compliance initiatives.
- Previous experience in a technology, SaaS, or high-growth organization.
