Vendor Relations Specialist

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview

An Aston Carter client is seeking a Vendor Relations Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact between customers, vendors, and internal teams after the sale. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience by providing proactive updates on order status, production timelines, and deliveries while coordinating closely with vendors to keep orders on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers after the sale, providing timely updates on order status, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure orders are produced and fulfilled on schedule.
  • Track orders and production timelines, proactively identifying and addressing delays.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success teams to maintain alignment and communication across all parties.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customers and vendors through excellent service and consistent follow-through.
  • Resolve issues related to shipping, delivery, quality, or timing while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and order management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and support operational process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Order Management, Vendor Relations, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Experience coordinating orders, tracking deliveries, and managing customer communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting vendors, suppliers, or fulfillment operations.
  • Account management or client services.
  • Experience with order management software or CRM platforms.
  • Logistics, operations, or supply chain coordination experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
