Job Description

The Janitorial Area Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and facility maintenance while aligning operations with client and company objectives. This role demands leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on maintaining efficient, cost-effective services. The Janitorial Area Supervisor will supervise and develop cleaning teams, implement best practices in quality assurance, and consistently improve cleaning and maintenance methods to exceed expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support daily custodial operations, including the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies such as vacuum cleaners, floor care machines, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available for efficient facility operations.
  • Supervise custodial staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and professional development.
  • Develop and enforce QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) processes to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and assessments to ensure facility cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Direct and monitor contractor activities, ensuring alignment with company and client standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to cleaning operations and facility upkeep.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to sustain operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address concerns and maintain satisfaction.
  • Uphold the highest safety, quality, and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Standard hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, though earlier mornings or later evenings may be required based on site needs.
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • 3-8 years of experience in custodial or facility management, with a proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Strong knowledge of floor care, cleaning techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage competing priorities.
  • Prior experience with TEAM Software/WinTeam is a plus.

Physical Requirements
