Job description

Job Title: Regional Operations Manager

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $80,000

Location: Irwindale, CA

Job Shift: Thursday - Monday 11AM - 8PM

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Overview

Absolute International Security is seeking a professional Regional Operations Manager to provide day-to-day support to the Operations department and assist the VP of Operations with the the management of client accounts and regional security operations. This role is responsible for supporting day/swing shift field security operations, providing weekend & after-hours operational leadership and management, as well as ensuring the general operational success of the client portfolio, including through client relations and business development. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Report to the VP of Operations
  • Manage all key operational responsibilities including, but not limited to training, retention, quality assurance, contract compliance, client relations, customer service, emergency response, and other operational functions.
  • Ensure employee adherence to Company policy and procedures, contract requirements, and general industry security standards.
  • Consult on daily Operational staffing requirements.
  • Resolve client issues in a professional manner.
  • Develop good working relations with clients by providing consistent in-person visits to Client sites and act as a Client liaison for the Company.
  • Conduct threat assessments and walk-throughs in collaboration with Clients to gather information necessary for the creation and update of Post Orders.
  • Conduct in-person Quality Assurance checks, post inspections, and training/retraining.
  • Provide security assessments and risk mitigation strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Review all relvant Operational and Quality Assurance reports and utilize data metrics to address necessary points of improvement, concerns, or issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments on operational and company goals.
  • Perform performance development duties, including completing performance reviews, developing performance improvement plans, and mentoring emplyoees in an equitable and consistent manner.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of current security industry requirements, trends, technologies, common issues and risks and provide insight to the executive leadership and other departments for solutions and best practices.
  • Responsible for general operational success of the client portfolio and provide reports to executive leadership on the status of client accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of private security operations, law enforcement and/or military experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position required.
  • Experience in the security industry or a related field preferred.

Certifications

  • Possess a valid guard card permit or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record necessary to operate Company vehicle.

  • Must be at least 26 years old
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional screening requirements
  • Effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, task management, and attention to detail
  • Possesses a professional and customer service oriented demeanor with emphasis on team collaboration and employee/client relations

  • Available to work outside normally scheduled hours on an as-needed basis and accessible via phone 24/7 for emergency response
