What this job involves:

As a Senior HVAC Technician at JLL, you will play a critical role in maintaining optimal facility operations across multiple client sites. This mobile position requires you to operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to achieve the most efficient operating results and maximum equipment life expectancy. You will work independently, performing preventive maintenance and responsive repairs while ensuring all equipment operates in an energy-efficient and safe manner. Strong focus on troubleshooting and repairing all HVAC systems is paramount, and you are expected to demonstrate advanced proficiency in HVAC while maintaining multi-skilled capabilities in electrical, plumbing, and related building systems. This position includes mandatory overtime to support our commitment to uninterrupted client operations and proactive facility management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, cooling towers, and refrigeration units across assigned facilities.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment longevity.
  • Conduct scheduled facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting as-found conditions and reporting issues that may impact client occupancy and operations.
  • Maintain and repair piping, valves, pumps, filters, and building water/steam systems; determine appropriate repair frequencies and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Study equipment specifications and operation manuals to remain current on proper usage, safetyprotocols, and maintenance requirements for all facility systems.
  • Utilize CMMS systems (Corrigo) to document all work performed, update work order status in real time, and maintain accurate service records.
  • Travel between multiple client sites assigned, exercising defensive driving practices and maintaining compliance with all transportation safety standards.
  • Collaborate with operations teams and escalate complex problems or urgent issues to management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, complete hazard assessments as necessary, and maintain good housekeeping standards across all work areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive technical experience in building engineering with strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HVAC system principles, best practices, and overall system design and applications.
  • Working knowledge of codes and regulations related to HVAC systems, components, OSHA standards, and local building codes.
  • Valid and RealID compliant state driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel between multiple sites daily.
  • Proficiency in the use of power and hand tools required for HVAC and building maintenance tasks.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders up to 30 feet while carrying tool bags, and perform frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work.
  • Availability for mandatory overtime to support mobile technician responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program or two years of trades school in HVAC, electrical systems, or related discipline.
  • Documented apprenticeship in electrical systems and HVAC.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Corrigo or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a mobile or multi-site technician role with demonstrated ability to work independently.

Estimated compensation for this position:

60,800.00 – 85,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
