Personal Lines Account Manager - Property & Casualty
Hybrid - Stevens Point preferred, Onalaska or Wausau

We are seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to provide responsive, accurate support to commercial insurance clients. This role partners closely with Producers and Account Managers to service accounts, process policy changes, coordinate renewals, and deliver a consistently positive client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do / Your Impact
Client Partnership & Risk Strategy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to personal lines clients by managing and servicing an existing book of business
  • Review policies with clients to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate enhancements, including increased limits or additional lines
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Submit and support claims with carriers, assisting clients through escalated claim issues as needed
  • Contribute to client retention and growth through referrals, cross-selling, and prospecting efforts

Operational Excellence
  • Initiate and follow up on client, carrier, and internal requests to resolve issues, process changes, and issue new or renewal policies
  • Prepare, monitor, and maintain policy documentation including renewals, applications, certificates, endorsements, cancellations, and claims
  • Maintain accurate records and suspense for follow-up actions within the agency management system
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness in all client and carrier documentation
  • Maintain product supply inventory for the branch office, as applicable

Strategic Contribution
  • Operate independently without an assigned producer while collaborating with internal teams and carrier partners
  • Support new business production through prospecting, referrals, cross selling, centers of influence, and community relationship-building
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and educational activities to stay current on industry trends, products, and regulations
  • Assist with special projects and administrative support as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring
Required
  • Experience in personal lines insurance client service or account management
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, forms, terminology, and coverage structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and explain coverage clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with attention to detail

Preferred
  • Associate's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to three years of insurance agency and/or sales experience
  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar agency management systems
  • Active state Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Professional designations such as CISR or CIC
