Rodefer Moss is currently seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager to join our team!
The CAS Manager serves as a trusted advisor to business clients while overseeing engagements, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with client relationship management and team leadership.
As a CAS Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of client accounting engagements.
  • Reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting work prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and providing proactive financial guidance.
  • Overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple clients.
  • Analyzing financial performance and helping clients understand key trends and business metrics.
  • Advising clients on accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing CAS Associates and Senior Associates.
  • Assisting with onboarding new clients and implementing accounting technologies and workflows.
  • Managing payroll, sales tax, and other compliance-related engagements as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand services and strengthen client relationships.
  • Collaborating with firm leadership to support strategic growth initiatives within the CAS practice.
  • Monitoring engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure exceptional client service.

Requirements
Education, experience, and skills we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting, outsourced accounting, or client accounting services experience.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring team members.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and cloud-based accounting technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and competing priorities.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
