Overview

This role is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring the delivery of tailored retirement benefits and life insurance solutions, and driving client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of executive retirement plans, life insurance products, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.


How you'll make an impact

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including C-suite executives and decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular client meetings (in-person and virtual) to review plan performance, address concerns, and provide strategic guidance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and deliver value added services.

Plan Administration and Compliance:

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing administration of executive benefit plans, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of plan documents, reports, and other materials.
  • Monitor plan performance and provide clients with regular updates and recommendations for improvement.

Strategic Consulting:

  • Partner with clients to understand their business goals and develop tailored retirement benefit strategies that align with their objectives.
  • Provide insights on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in executive retirement planning.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships by introducing additional products and services.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including actuarial, compliance, marketing, and sales, to deliver seamless client service.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare for client events, conferences, and other engagements.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials and thought leadership content related to executive retirement benefits.

Business Development:

  • Identify and refer new business opportunities to the sales team, leveraging existing client relationships and industry networks.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and events to build brand awareness and establish new connections.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience.

Life & Health License required. Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of executive retirement plans, including non-qualified deferred compensation plans, SERPs, and other specialized benefit programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a client-focused mindset.
