Job description

Intake Specialist - Customer Service Referral Center: The CSRC Intake Specialist receives calls from people seeking behavioral health and/or medical services, verifies eligibility for the services, and schedules initial intake appointments.
Duties include:
  • Receives incoming calls
  • Determines whether requested services are available.
  • Determines availability of funding source to support requested services.
  • Schedules client appointments, verifies funding source data, and obtains required authorizations.
  • Creates Referral Demographic documents in EHR system.
  • Scans/Emails copies of faxed referrals and client information to the various sites' receiving parties.
  • Enters client information into tracking spreadsheet.
  • Remains aware of agency Intake capacity limits and assists clients with accessing appropriate outside resources during those times when intake services may be closed or limited.
  • Performs other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
  • Schedules Transportation was necessary.
  • Conducts reminder calls for appointments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 Years of Age
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English strongly preferred. Pay Differential offered.
  • Eligibility & Enrollment experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with DCS preferred.
  • Experience using NextGen EMR preferred.
  • Previous customer service or call center experience desirable.
  • Must receive/maintain DPS fingerprint clearance.
