What we are looking for

State Street Alpha Data Services organization is seeking individuals with subject matter expertise spanning a wide array of financial instrument types and working knowledge of Asset Management Data Domains to join our team as an Implementation Business Analyst.

SeniorImplementation Business Analysts are at the heart of continued growth of our Alpha Data Services offering. These energetic, self-motivated individuals collaborate with clients and Business, Data and Technology Solution Architecture leads at State Street and Charles River on a daily basis to articulate business requirements, navigate dependencies and drive innovative enhancements that empower our architecture to support new and more robust Front, Middle and Back Office managed data services - allowing our clients to focus on generating revenue for their core business.

What you will be responsible for

  • Contribute to the integration of new data services and sources by participating in requirement gathering, testing and support of newly developed features as part of the Product's scaled agile teams.

  • Work as a member of the Client Implementation Team with the Development teams as well as the Project Manager to help establish project delivery plans and delivery estimates for projects involving integration of client middle or back-office data.

  • Guide Clients on required reference data and other setups and mapping as part of initial client implementations

  • Define and maintain standards around data ingestion, enrichment and validation of client portfolio data into our Enterprise Data Management solution

  • Perform in-depth analysis of the functional capabilities inherent to our existing and emerging data platform

  • Document product specifications and prepare business cases to drive development in scaled agile rooms.

  • Capture on-going enhancements to scope of services for existing clients as needed into roadmap.

  • Create and maintain client facing documentation

  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the service offering to perform Subject Matter Expert activities: consultancy, implementation configuration and demonstrations

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above.

  • 10+ years in depth knowledge across all asset types and types of accounting data (Fixed Income, Derivatives, Forwards, Cash, Equities, Futures, Positions, Settlements, General Ledger, NAV etc.)

  • Strong experience working with data management systems, integration of investment accounting and back-office data from industry providers and business process engineering.

  • Skilled in implementing robustSecurity Master and Account Master frameworksto ensure accurate instrument reference data, account hierarchy integrity, and seamless downstreamintegration across trading, accounting, and reporting platforms

  • Advanced SQL for data querying, validation, reconciliation, and rootcause analysis

  • Handson experience with Snowflake or similar cloudbased data warehouse platforms

  • Ability to analyze large, complex datasets to identify data quality issues, transformation logic gaps, and control weaknesses

  • Working knowledge of data modeling concepts (relational, dimensional) and data lineage

  • Familiarity with ETL / ELT patterns and data integration pipelines

  • Experience working with APIs, flat files, and vendor data feeds

  • Handson experience with data mapping, including defining sourcetotarget mappings, transformation rules, and validation logic across front, middle, and backoffice data domains

  • Previous experience participating on software implementation projects, data services buildout and 3rd party licensing process required

  • Good working knowledge of data structures within Aladdin, CRIMS or other Front Office Service Provider platforms desired

  • Good working knowledge of Data Governance, Cataloging, Quality, and Lineage processes and tools desired

  • Effective communicator - can summarize succinctly and can provide details when needed

  • Team oriented - capable of working in a high-performance global setting

  • Detail oriented and strong sense of responsibility

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Knowledge and working experience of Snowflake, SQL, BI Tools, and Front Office trading platforms are all an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC) a plus

  • Flexible and can adapt easily to changing/evolving role requirements

  • Self-motivated and able to influence others

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
