Position Overview:

The Commercial Lines Client Service Manager (CSM) will support producers in managing main street select and complex commercial accounts across both standard and E&S markets.

You will be responsible for maintaining technical accuracy, coordinating with wholesalers and underwriters, managing renewals, and ensuring that surplus lines documentation, billing, and compliance standards are properly handled.

What You’ll Do:

  • Commercial & E&S Account Management
  • Manage standard and specialty commercial accounts, including E&S placements.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, wholesale brokers, and surplus lines markets.
  • Assist with remarketing and renewal strategy.
  • Ensure surplus lines applications, billing, affidavits, and documentation are properly managed.
  • Review policies for accuracy, endorsements, exclusions, and sublimits.
  • Renewal & Placement Execution
  • Conduct structured pre-renewal outreach and account reviews.
  • Prepare submission materials and coordinate with producers on new and renewal business.
  • Work directly with underwriters to negotiate renewals and endorsements.
  • Identify coverage gaps or exposure shifts and elevate to producers when necessary.
  • Client Experience & Communication
  • Serve as primary service contact for assigned accounts.
  • Issue certificates of insurance and review additional insured endorsements.
  • Prepare proposals, premium finance agreements, and renewal summaries.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and carrier partners.
  • Operational Discipline
  • Maintain data integrity within the agency management system.
  • Follow structured workflows for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and renewals.
  • Assist with internal reporting related to business efficiency.
