Job description

We are partnering with a privately held commercial services business to find a Vice President of Client Services. The company serves a broad base of commercial and institutional clients and is looking for a senior leader who can elevate client retention, service quality, and account growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for executive-level client relationships, account performance, and cross-functional service delivery. The successful candidate will bring commercial judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to turn client feedback into practical improvements.

The Vice President of Client Services will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen client partnerships, improve service consistency, and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior relationship owner for major commercial and institutional accounts
  • Lead client retention strategies and support renewal discussions
  • Partner with operations, field leadership, and finance to resolve account-level issues
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships
  • Review client performance trends, service concerns, and satisfaction feedback
  • Support proposal development, bid presentations, and strategic account planning
  • Build consistent client communication practices across the business
  • Provide senior leadership with insight into client risks, opportunities, and market needs

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading client services, account management, or customer success in a service-based business
  • Strong background managing executive-level client relationships
  • Experience supporting client retention, contract renewals, and account growth
  • Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, profitability, and service delivery impact
  • Ability to work across operations, finance, HR, and business development teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with large commercial, institutional, or multi-site clients
  • Background in security services, facilities services, business services, or a related industry

Preferred Qualifications

Base salary: $115,000 to $135,000 depending on experience
