Job description

Summary
Customer Quality Specialist serves as the primary quality interface between Boeing and GTI for assigned programs. This role owns the coordination and resolution of Boeing NCRs, corrective actions, and quality deliverables, exercising independent judgment to evaluate issues, establish priorities, coordinate cross-functional resources, and drive timely resolution. The role requires strong knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective action methodologies, and aerospace quality requirements, with the ability to assess technical issues and determine appropriate courses of action.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary Quality point of contact between Boeing and GTI for assigned programs, coordinating client quality issues, requirements, deliverables and communications.
  • Communicates Boeing quality requirements, specifications, procedural updates, and customer expectations to appropriate GTI personnel and support compliance with applicable CFRs, AS9100 requirements, Boeing specifications, and program-specific quality requirements.
  • Owns Boeing-issued NCRs and corrective actions, independently assessing status and risks, determining appropriate next steps, coordinating Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other resources, and driving timely disposition and closure.
  • Leads and participates in Boeing and GTI quality reviews, audits, technical discussions, and program meetings; support Boeing onsite visits and technical reviews as needed.
  • Evaluates customer findings and recurring quality issues, facilitates root cause analysis and corrective action development, and determines appropriate actions and resources to address identified risks. Reviews technical information and coordinates development and submission of accurate corrective action responses and supporting documentation.
  • Maintains accurate and timely updates to Boeing supplier/customer quality portals and systems, including NCRs, corrective actions, quality deliverables, and supporting documentation. Track Boeing-required deliverables and commitments and escalate overdue actions or significant risks as appropriate.
  • Interprets Boeing quality requirements and program expectations and determines appropriate GTI actions to support compliance and customer commitments.
  • Evaluates NCR and corrective action trends, identifies significant quality or program risks, determines when escalation is warranted, and recommends appropriate corrective or preventive actions to management.
  • Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years of relevant aerospace experience and/or training in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience., Boeing programs or supplier quality systems experience preferred. Aircraft interiors manufacturing or integration experience strongly preferred.
Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company, foreign government, foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Solid understanding of AS9100-certified manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of Boeing specifications, drawings, manufacturing standards, and digital product definition processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes related to aircraft interior materials and components.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project management applications.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $78,000.00 - $93,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
