Business Development & Client Success Manager

Location: Metro Detroit, Michigan

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: 100% Onsite (Travel between MARTIN Technologies facilities and customer locations throughout Metro Detroit)

Compensation: $60,000 โ€“ $80,000 annually (Based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills)

Travel: Local travel required.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. MARTIN Technologies does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates requiring current or future visa sponsorship will not be considered. This is a 100% onsite position; candidates residing outside the Metro Detroit area will not be considered.

MARTIN Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Business Development & Client Success Manager to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, and support workforce operations across key customer accounts.

This role serves as the primary liaison between MARTIN Technologies, our employees working at customer locations, and our clients. The successful candidate will focus on expanding existing business partnerships, identifying new opportunities for growth, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, strategic thinker, and self-starter who understands how large organizations operate and can effectively communicate with customers, leadership teams, and employees. This individual should always be looking for ways to grow business, improve client partnerships, increase revenue opportunities, and elevate the MARTIN Technologies brand.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client leadership and key decision-makers.

  • Identify opportunities to expand MARTIN Technologies' services within existing customer accounts.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to generate additional business and increase account revenue.

  • Promote MARTIN Technologies' engineering, manufacturing, technical, and workforce capabilities.

  • Develop strategies that strengthen long-term customer partnerships and support sustainable business growth.

  • Collaborate with internal leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Represent MARTIN Technologies professionally during client meetings, site visits, networking events, and business reviews.

Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.

  • Build trusted relationships through consistent communication and outstanding customer service.

  • Understand client operations, workforce needs, and future business objectives to anticipate opportunities.

  • Address client concerns promptly while maintaining strong long-term partnerships.

  • Provide leadership with regular updates on customer feedback, operational trends, and potential growth opportunities.

Employee Success & Workforce Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with employees assigned to customer locations.

  • Conduct regular employee check-ins to improve engagement, retention, and overall job satisfaction.

  • Act as a trusted employee advocate by assisting with workplace concerns and helping employees succeed.

  • Work collaboratively with client leadership to identify advancement and career growth opportunities for high-performing employees whenever appropriate.

  • Promote a positive culture that reflects MARTIN Technologies' commitment to professionalism, accountability, and employee success.

Operations & Administrative Support
  • Review, verify, and approve employee timecards for payroll processing.

  • Monitor attendance, scheduling, workforce updates, and daily operational activities.

  • Support onboarding, employee documentation, and workforce administration.

  • Maintain accurate reports using Microsoft Office and company systems.

  • Coordinate with Recruiting, HR, Payroll, and Operations to ensure smooth workforce management and exceptional client support.

Internal Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Recruiting, HR, Payroll, Operations, and Leadership teams.

  • Share customer insights, workforce trends, and operational updates that support strategic business decisions.

  • Communicate potential business opportunities and client needs to leadership.

  • Help develop long-term account growth strategies that strengthen MARTIN Technologies' market presence.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Minimum of 5 yearsย of experience in business development, account management, customer success, operations, staffing, or a related field.

  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Metro Detroit.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, automotive, or technical service organizations.

  • Experience working with enterprise-level customer accounts.

  • Experience with CRM, ATS, HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems.

  • Familiarity with workforce planning and customer account growth strategies.
