POSITION TITLE: Business Development

SUMMARY: Business Development Professional, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's market presence through strategic partnerships, client acquisition, and new business opportunities.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Analyze market data, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to inform business development strategies.
  • Analyze commodity futures to understand the oil and petrochemical market for opportunity propositions.
  • Monitor industry news and developments to stay informed about market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor environmental regulations and organizations for upcoming news and developments in proposed rulings.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and organizational objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and alliances within individual customer sites and at the corporate level.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Identify and prospect new clients through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.
  • Conduct sales presentations, pitches, and demonstrations to showcase the company's full array of products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless handover and transition of new clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Develop KPI structures that ensure continued, profitable business for both parties.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, gather feedback, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases to support new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to streamline business development efforts.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
