Business Development Executive โ€“ Transportation & Maritime


Office Location: Miami, FL

Department: Business Development

Reports to: Head of Business Development

Work Model & Schedule: Remote with regular meetings at the Miami office

Job Summary


The Business Development Executive will support the growth of the companyโ€™s Transportation and Maritime design businesses throughout the Americas.

Working closely with the Head of Business Development and Design Leadership, this role will identify and develop new business opportunities, build strategic client relationships, coordinate commercial pursuits, and support growth initiatives across priority markets.

The Business Development Executive will help strengthen the companyโ€™s position as a strategic design and innovation partner for transportation operators, yacht and ship builders, and emerging mobility companies throughout the Americas.

The position will also contribute to selected opportunities across Automotive, Aviation, Product Design, Architecture, and Strategic Partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


Build Relationships

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities across transportation, maritime, yachting, and next-generation mobility sectors.
  • Support commercial development activities across automotive, aviation, rail, product design, architecture, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with transportation authorities, operators, OEMs, shipyards, yacht builders, developers, and mobility ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Support the development of key accounts and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking activities.


Drive Business Development

  • Coordinate proposals, presentations, commercial offers, and client-facing materials.
  • Support client meetings, workshops, and commercial negotiations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for priority transportation and maritime sectors.
  • Maintain CRM records, opportunity tracking, pipeline reporting, sales forecasts, and business development plans.


Collaborate

  • Work closely with Design, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Project Management teams to support new business pursuits.
  • Coordinate internal teams during proposal development and project pursuits.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes and tools.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company, client, and employee information.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, Transportation, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience selling design, engineering, innovation, or other complex professional services, ideally within a design consultancy or service-based organization whose clients include companies in transportation, mobility, automotive, e-bikes, electric vehicles, rail, recreational vehicles, or related industries.
  • Exposure to automotive, aviation, architecture, product design, luxury brands, or design consulting environments is considered a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25โ€“40% of the time.
  • Fluency in English is required. Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. No sponsorship
