Build Client Relationships. Embrace Technology. Grow Your Career.

At Magone & Company, we believe great client accounting professionals do more than reconcile accounts—they become trusted partners who help small businesses stay organized, make informed decisions, and operate more efficiently.

Our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team works alongside business owners every day, providing the accounting support they need to focus on growing their businesses. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people as much as numbers and is excited about using technology to deliver exceptional client service.

If you're looking for a traditional bookkeeping position with little client interaction, this may not be the right fit.

If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, learning new technology, and becoming a valued resource for clients, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role

As a Client Accounting Services Coordinator, you'll work closely with our Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager to support a portfolio of small business clients. You'll be a central point of contact, helping clients stay organized, answering day-to-day questions, and ensuring their accounting records are accurate and up to date.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values strong client relationships, and wants to grow their accounting career in a modern, technology-driven CPA firm.
Why You'll Love It Here

At Magone & Company, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Build relationships with business owners and become a trusted day-to-day resource
  • Work with a variety of clients across multiple industries
  • Learn from experienced accounting professionals in a collaborative environment
  • Utilize modern accounting technology, AI, automation, and cloud-based applications
  • Continue developing expertise in QuickBooks Online, Excel, Bill.com, and other leading accounting platforms
  • Contribute ideas that improve processes and enhance the client experience
  • Build a strong foundation for future career growth within our Client Accounting Services team
What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, providing timely, professional communication
  • Support the Client Accounting Services Manager with client engagements and ongoing accounting projects
  • Maintain accurate books and records using QuickBooks Online
  • Process accounts payable and manage electronic bill payments using Bill
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Assist clients with accounting questions and help resolve day-to-day issues
  • Utilize Excel, accounting technology, AI tools, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support workflow management, special projects, and continuous process improvements
What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping, client accounting, or accounting support experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online required
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new technology and AI tools
  • Experience with Bill.com or similar AP automation software is a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • A desire to learn, grow, and build long-term client relationships
Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000–$60,000, based on experience.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
  • Employer-paid health and life insurance
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match
  • 16 days PTO plus paid holidays
  • Paid company-wide shutdown during the week of July 4th
  • Three paid 4-day holiday weekends each year (Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving)
  • Professional development and ongoing technology training
  • Clear opportunities for career growth within our Client Accounting Services practice
