Description:

Vanguard Renewables, based in Weston, Massachusetts, is a national leader in environmental services and the development of food and dairy waste-to-renewable energy projects. The Company builds, owns, and operates on-farm anaerobic digestion facilities and is continuing to scale through an extensive national expansion of its Farm Powered ® platform. It is committed to advancing decarbonization by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from farms and food waste, generating renewable energy, and supporting regenerative agriculture on partner farms. Vanguard Renewables is a portfolio company of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock.


The Regional Account Manager will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our existing regional clients, collaborating with internal VR teams to solve problems, and field inquiries via phone, email, and client service portals. The Regional Account Manager will primarily be responsible for retaining existing clients, growing market share in the region, and providing world-class customer service. This position requires the ability to manage large Food and Beverage/Retail clients, waste haulers and waste brokers, through strong negotiation skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintaining smooth operations at each facility by championing client needs with operational capacities.
  • Creating superior client experience by fielding inquiries, working internally with various teams, and solving problems quickly. 
  • Working with counterparts on the Organic Solutions Sales Team to create program proposals, onboard new clients and execute daily account management tasks.
  • Responding quickly and efficiently, communicating problems to clients, and developing solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as facility operations, logistics and strategic partnerships team to provide excellent customer service to existing clients as needs/issues arise. 
  • Tracking and evaluating client and Vanguard performance using collected data to provide feedback and implement program improvements. 
  • Maintaining high-quality records and information in the CRM.
  • Working with and supporting the Organics Solutions Sales team as needed on various projects  
Requirements:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of working in the waste and recycling or environmental industries
  • Excellent customer communication and service
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
  • Extremely organized and data driven
  • Communicate clearly and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible, able to adapt and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Be available on-site for each facility in the region
  • Be able to collaborate and align goals of various teams
  • Experience in environmental logistics and total waste services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in organics management is strongly preferred.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
