Job description

Job Purpose

Operations Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to one of various Operations Support functions throughout the Operations Support Jurisdictional Departments.ย  All other duties usually assigned this classification

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform clerical work and related duties for any Operations Support Jurisdictional Department as assigned
  • Clerk will handle and process all internal customer requests by face-to-face meetings, correspondence, telephone, or other applicable technology
  • Responsible for clerical functions in all Operations Support utilizing computer programs (including but not limited to STORMS, NJUNS, ARCOS, ADMS, PORT, SAP, CSS, GIS and Microsoft Office)
Qualifications
    • Must be able to operate office equipment such as computer, calculator, copier/scanner/fax
    • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Type approximately 25 words per minute.
    • Must have the ability to converse intelligently in a pleasant, understandable, and helpful manner with department staff, internal and external customers.
    • Must be a legible penman, proficient in filing and office procedures, and must be able to assume responsibilities for routine clerical work.
    • Must have the ability to pass accepted clerical standard tests.
    • Must have the ability to acquire a sufficient knowledge of Company policies and practices to prepare and maintain various forms, records and reports required in department.

    Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

    • Employee may be required to work during heavy activity periods and emergency situations.
    • Must possess and maintain valid drivers license with no restrictions on hours of operations.
    • May be required to work in a confined, indoor area for an extended period of time.

    * Comments:ย  The company will have the ability to move this clerk where needed within New England.ย  They will be paid mileage when moved off of their platform.*
