Position Overview

ASI is seeking a Security Specialist to support classified defense operations in an enterprise Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) environment. This position will assist with day-to-day security administration, compliance tracking, access management, and classified information handling.


The ideal candidate is familiar with Department of War security processes and can support personnel, physical, information, and program security functions in a fast-paced headquarters environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day security administration for classified defense activities.
  • Assist with personnel security, visit requests, access rosters, and clearance verification.
  • Maintain security files, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Support classified meeting coordination and secure facility access procedures.
  • Assist with implementation of Department of War security policies and classified handling requirements.
  • Help track security training, briefings, nondisclosure documentation, and access requirements.
  • Coordinate with Government security personnel and contractor team members.
  • Support inspections, audits, and corrective action tracking as needed.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Department of War or defense security administration.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Personnel security
    • Physical security
    • Information security
    • Classified handling procedures
  • Ability to support classified operations in a senior defense headquarters environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Active TS//SCI clearance required; SAP eligibility required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SCI or SAP environments.
  • Prior support to:
    • Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)
    • Missile defense
    • Air defense
    • Other classified defense mission areas
  • Familiarity with:
    • NISPOM
    • Visit authorization procedures
    • Classified meeting support
    • Access control processes
