The night shift Quality Control Supervisor leads all night-shift quality activities that support the plant's overall success in achieving Quality Objectives. This position oversees the B-Shift Quality Inspection Team and ensures product quality across raw materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished goods in compliance with FieldTurf specifications and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for mentoring Team Leads, quality reporting, data-tracking, and real-time product disposition decisions, while supporting claims resolution and providing quality-related customer support, including site visits as needed. What you'll do:
  • Provide systems training and ensure line inspectors have a thorough understanding of quality standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Team Leads, reinforcing quality standards, strengthening decision-making, and driving accountability for performance and defect prevention.
  • Assign inspectors and maintain inspection schedules to support production requirements.
  • Assign and prioritize all B-Shift lab duties based on testing needs, and track Lab production performance.
  • Support daily and monthly Quality reporting and maintain accurate quality data tracking.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the QC Database.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Defect Library and conduct routine training on defect identification and quality hold criteria.
  • Coordinate Pre-Shipment Testing activities as required
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to EHS Manager and/or Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and systems (Access, SQL, Excel, Syspro, etc.)
  • Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals.
  • Helps other employees to accomplish Company goals
  • Monitor & Coach team leads or others interested in Career Growth.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
  • Adhere to and maintain all applicable ISO 9001/IMS Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Ensure ISO audit readiness (internal and external) across all responsible departments.
  • Promote a culture of procedural discipline, ownership, continuous improvement, and attention to detail.
  • Develop, update, and implement SOPs and quality documentation.
  • Lead daily Tier 1 meetings with the QC Team.
  • Support field visits to better understand quality-related issues and communicate findings to plant personnel.
  • Provide input on claims resolution and participate in claims meetings as needed.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and proper material handling procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in responding to internal and external customers.
  • Support production operations as needed, including coordination of remakes and repairs.
  • Drive continuous development of skills, processes, and team performance.
  • Manage personnel issues and set clear expectations for performance and accountability.

  • 4yr degree required. BS degree preferred.
  • Strong MS office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Adapts to new technology and maximizes available tools
  • Understands internal and external customers, balances needs and builds strong relationships
  • Involves working adjusted shifts at times to provide coverage/training when required
  • Communicates clearly and accurately, negotiates to reach agreements, written correspondence is professional and efficient
