Job Description
This position is in the Claims Litigation Management Team within Corp Enterprise Risk Mgmt. Interacting with all C&F companies, law firms and claims vendors; this individual will understand and convey the company's objectives within litigation guidelines, policies, procedures and billing practices. Will manage and coordinate requests, reviews and projects pertaining to the Law firms, the Legal bill review platforms, and other litigation and vendor management needs as directed by the Vice President of Claims Litigation Management.
What you will do:
This person will serve as a primary point of contact for the management of the day to day operations of Legal Management services. Will manage the litigation professional staff to ensure law firm and vendor adherence to litigation management and billing guidelines and panel protocols.
Legal Vendors
  • Manage the processes involved with law firms as they pertain to invoices, E-Billing vendor and claims staff as well as serve as a liaison between law firms, E-Billing vendor and claims staff.
  • Delegate, Coordinate and Resolve questions related to law firm and E-Billing vendor functions such as adherence to litigation management and billing guidelines and appropriateness of law firm staffing changes.
  • Act as the primary point person for communications and information flow to the regional and department managers concerning E-Billing vendor and management of their appropriate billing platforms.
  • Assist or delegate to staff colleagues and claims staff questions pertaining to adherence to litigation management and billing guidelines.
  • Assist Vice President of Claims Litigation Management with projects related to panel vetting, approval and review.
  • Act as mentor to the Legal Services Group.

Metrics /Reports and Financials
  • Working with the Vice President of Claims Litigation Management manages the gathering of reports and metrics associated with legal bill review results, law firm and other claims vendors spend and performance, as requested, on both monthly and ad hoc basis, this may include projects with the Vice President of Claims Litigation Management.
  • Conducts audits of the legal bill review services and related vendors, as requested, on a scheduled basis and shares findings along with providing suggestions for areas of improvement.

What you will bring to C&F:
  • When needed or assigned, review of legal Invoices as defined with Best Practices and Litigation Management guidelines.
  • Participates in or manages project work, and other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Claims Litigation Management.
  • Participate in training to claims staff on the online legal bill review platforms.

Education/Experience
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of related experience required
  • Experience working within legal bill review systems required.
  • Strong organizational, management and project management skills preferred.
  • Experience with claims litigation management of law firms and/or vendors preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external vendors across all levels.
  • Willingness to obtain training as it pertains to daily responsibilities.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $74,900.00 to a maximum of $140,700.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
