Position Summary:

In this role, you will be a vital member of the Home Office Claims team, providing administrative, operational, and systems support that helps ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently. This position serves as a key resource for both customers and claims staff by supporting daily operations, maintaining claims systems, resolving workflow issues, and promoting exceptional service across the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers with claim-related questions
  • Completes entry work into the claims systems - enter payments, enter reserve changes, close claims, etc.
  • Processes claims payments and completes detailed mailing instructions
  • Prepares reports, forms, letters, memos, and other file documentation
  • Processes mail - both incoming and outgoing
  • Utilizes software systems to enter, access and/or retrieve data from various systems
  • Provides assistance to claims department staff as needed
  • Serve as a Claims Workstation team member which includes but is not limited to testing and approving Move Requests, approving IT work requests to go to production, maintaining current Claims Workstation users in the system, and coordinating with IT when production issues are identified or encountered.
  • Serve as a Claims Workstation help desk member which includes, but is not limited to: assists users with Claims Workstation problems/questions related to diary, entry of complicated claims, vehicle title reporting, payment adjustments, reserve changes on PT/Death claims, researches error codes in Claims Workstation, unlocks users when frozen in Claims Workstation and troubleshoots issues
  • Provides training and guidance to newly hired claims associates.
  • Communicate with claims department staff for end of accounting month reminders and holiday/office closing reminders for diary and processing payment instructions.
  • Rotate with other team members as needed to provide home office front desk coverage
  • Other tasks and projects assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional office environment
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and visitors
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond timely to customer needs, demonstrating an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as a collaborative team member
  • Flexibility to work as early as 7 am or as late as 6 pm, Monday - Friday
