Job description

Multi-discipline engineering firm in business for decades is looking for a Lead Civil Engineer for their Windsor office!



Responsibilities:

  • Lead the growth and development of the Civil Engineering Department
  • Build/maintain relationships with municipal clients
  • Support/develop various projects (education, energy, water/wastewater, public agencies, real estate)
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to develop new business
  • Pursue/deliver business in the real estate market and discipline
  • Provide technical direction/oversight on projects
  • Develop the scope of work, budgets, schedules, and plans for civil projects
  • Manage municipal civil projects
  • Coordinate resource needs for municipal civil engineering project success
  • Responsible for projects successful financial success
  • Participate in trade shows and be active in industry/relevant associations
  • Prepare/coordinate proposals

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 12+ years of managerial-level, civil site engineering, land development, and project management for mid to large-scale projects
  • Business development experience
  • PE License
  • Knowledge of seller/doer business model with public sector clients
  • Stormwater management and local municipal infrastructure design experience
  • Extensive knowledge of municipal regulations/requirements that impact land development entitlements and permitting for Connecticut state, county and local municipalities
  • Management/supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of MS suite including Word, Excel, Power Point

 

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
