Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Discipline Civil Engineering Project Manager with a background in design of water projects including water pipelines, pumping plants, dams, levees, appurtenant infrastructure, structures, and SCADA projects with the technical skills and desire to support our Water Business Group across all Market Sectors.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects from concept, through design, and construction. The candidate will be expected to have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to manage large teams with a wide range of experience and expertise.

Based in Denver, Colorado, this person will work under the direction of their supervisor to provide project management services for multiple discipline civil engineering projects.  As a project manager this person will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, resource management, and budget on complex engineering projects working with both private and Federal clients.

In the role of Multi-Discipline Civil Engineer Project, you will be responsible for the following Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a Project Manager on large-scale heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Lead in the development of scope and schedule during design and construction of large-scale heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Management of resources throughout delivery of heavy-civil construction projects.
  • Support project delivery, support programs, and execution of construction projects.
  • Lead or support planning of scope, schedule and fee of heavy-civil construction projects.
  • Mentor and coach other project managers across the organization in the development and delivery of projects.
  • Participate in marketing efforts of both external and internal clients.
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Project management skills include budgeting, scheduling, and recourse management.
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience with project management of dam construction and water construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software
  • Experience in design calculations and layouts
  • Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood
  • Requires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
