IR develops the strategy for and manages the relationship with institutional investors, research analysts and rating agencies, who cover Citigroup, and ensures that the financial markets have a deep and thorough understanding of Citi's strategy, financial performance and progress. IR ensures that Senior Management and Business Heads understand the market's perspective on Citi and areas of focus.IR is also principally responsible, in conjunction with Finance and Legal, for ensuring that Citi's external disclosures, analyses, and financial communications are transparent and clear and help the Street develop a thorough understanding of Citi.IR is responsible for all quarterly earnings documents (analyst presentation, press release, CFO script) as well as all Senior Management access with investors and sell side research analysts, including conferences, non-deal roadshows and other meetings. IR is also integrally involved in the preparation of 10-K, 10-Q and other public filings to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of disclosures. Senior members of IR communicate with sell-side research analysts and investors on a daily basis to provide transparency into the Company and the market environment. This interaction provides IR with insight into the Street's view of Citi, its competitors and the industry. This allows IR to advise Senior Management about market expectations for Citi, which is critical in developing strategic messages and new disclosures to respond with the ever-evolving market environment.**Responsibilities*** Assist in driving the overall team’s strategy and agenda, focus on enhancing communication, operating efficiency, governance, process efficiency and effectiveness of the IR function* Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the overall key deliverables for the group, specifically when the Head of IR is presenting at internal & external venues, and leading key initiatives when required by senior management to deliver on the strategic roadmap for the group* Support senior members of the team in messaging and creating materials related to Citi’s financial results and strategic objectives* Support and manage relationships with research analysts and institutional investors; stay abreast of qualitative and quantitative changes to estimates and models* Work with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure there is alignment on the understanding of Citi’s businesses, financials, and strategy, as well as relevant industry topics and peer comparisons* Responsible for reviewing all VP / AVP / Analyst work products* Support preparation of external disclosures, including quarterly earnings releases as well as quarterly and annual SEC filings* Creation, direction, and management of financial analytics including shareholder and valuation analyses, earnings reactions and industry dynamics and report to senior management as needed* Manage ad hoc and special projects**Qualifications*** 10+ years of financial services experience in either Investor Relations, investment banking, or corporate strategy* Strong understanding of banking and financial services industry, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital and drivers of profitability and valuation* Strong written and oral communication skills, must be comfortable writing scripts and talking points* Strong interpersonal and influence management* Demonstrated process improvement and leadership experience required* Strategic and project management capabilities coupled with strong analytic and financial acumen* Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demands* Ability to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment* Sound business judgment and ethics**Education**Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience / Master’s degreeThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
