Job Title: Systems Administrator II (Voice)
Location: Rocklin, CA (Onsite – Monday to Friday)
Job Type: 6+ Months
We are seeking a Systems Administrator II (Voice) to support and maintain enterprise voice and collaboration platforms with a primary focus on Cisco Webex Calling. This role will be responsible for administering voice services, supporting IP telephony deployments, troubleshooting voice-related issues, and ensuring reliable communication services across enterprise and retail environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cisco Webex Calling, VoIP technologies, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and manage Cisco Webex Calling using Webex Control Hub.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain IP phones and voice devices.
- Manage call routing, auto attendants, hunt groups, voicemail, and related voice services.
- Support store openings, relocations, remodels, and enterprise voice deployments.
- Troubleshoot voice platform, device, and connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with networking teams to support voice VLANs, QoS, and network connectivity.
- Coordinate with telecommunications carriers and vendors for provisioning, number porting, and issue resolution.
- Assist with voice platform upgrades, migrations, and enhancement initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
- Participate in incident management, escalations, and on-call support rotations as needed.
- 2–5 years of experience supporting enterprise voice, telecom, or collaboration platforms.
- Hands-on experience administering Cisco Webex Calling and Webex Control Hub.
- Strong understanding of VoIP technologies, including SIP, call routing, voicemail, and PSTN services.
- Experience supporting IP telephony and cloud-based calling platforms.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with telecommunications vendors, carriers, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting retail or distributed enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft Teams Phone, Avaya, or Contact Center platforms.
- Cisco CCNA, Webex, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
