Job Description

Job Summary
The Surgical Tech I assists the surgical team in providing direct patient care during surgical procedures. This entry-level position involves preparing the operating room, handling instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate, select, use and maintain equipmentand supplies for surgical procedure

  • Prepare and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedure

  • Follow established policies and procedures for sharps, sponge and instrument counts

  • Assist in transportation, housekeeping and Sterile Processing as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Certified Surgical Technologist

  • CPR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience with scrub and circulation skills

  • Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures

The pay range for this position is $26.58 - $39.86. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
