Job description

DAVIS SCHOOL IRC / Library Paraprofessional -$1,458 Differential The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: • Conduct library classes • Perform clerical tasks. Must have strong computer skills. • Assist students and teachers with library resources and computer research • Sort, lift and shelve books; keep accurate inventory; repair and process books • Check out/check in library materials • Recommend books for library collection The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and solid computer knowledge. Further responsibilities of this position will be discussed at the time of the interview. Brockton has an ongoing partnership with JET (Journey into Education & Teaching). "JET is a proven pathway to teaching for paraprofessionals without a bachelor's degree who want to become licensed classroom teachers in their urban community high needs schools." Brockton paraprofessionals who have two years of experience may be eligible to participate in this program.
