Job description

SUMMARY: Workers perform customer service through a variety of tasks and help customers find information, in print and electronically, in a variety of formats.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Staff the circulation desk, checking library items in and out and helping customers find their way around the building
  • Aid customers in using Library databases and finding resources in all areas of the library, including Reference and Periodicals
  • Assist in maintaining Library inventory through re-shelving, scanning, and revising

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Customer Service experience
  • Previous library experience
  • Must (frequently) push/pull 41-100 lbs.
