• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to your clients’ specific needs, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.
• Support client goals through personalized treatment plans, incorporating community recovery support options, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Smart Recovery.
• Provide a safe and empathetic environment for clients to explore their relationships with alcohol, employing a harm-reduction model when necessary.
• Engage in continuous professional development by obtaining continued education units (CEUs), with annual costs covered by Cygnus.
• Remain accessible for late cancellations or no-shows, ensuring you are compensated accordingly, thus supporting your financial stability.
• Collaborate with our Content Manager to create expert insights and optional support groups, enriching your professional experience and client interactions.
• Participate in regular peer group discussions, share best practices, and provide mutual support to colleagues in the field.

Our client base primarily consists of individuals seeking to manage their relationship with alcohol, ranging from those seeking complete abstinence to those interested in moderation. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with diverse populations, addressing their unique challenges and guiding them through personalized therapeutic approaches. Your ability to foster rapport and understanding will be crucial in helping clients navigate their recovery journeys successfully.

• A current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Formal training and experience in therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
• A comprehensive understanding of harm-reduction principles and community recovery resources available to clients.
• Exceptional clinical engagement skills, demonstrated empathy, and an unwavering commitment to client-centered care.

• Experience in remote counseling or telehealth environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with various community support programs and their applications in a therapeutic setting.
• Previous involvement in leadership roles or group facilitation within clinical contexts will be advantageous.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance bonuses.
