Are you an expert in researching credit investment opportunities? Do you have experience in leveraged loans and high yield bonds? Can you provide well-founded investment recommendations based on your analysis?
We are looking for Research Analyst - Leveraged Loans & High Yield Bonds to:
โ€ข conduct fundamental credit analysis on leveraged loans and high yield bonds, including detailed review of financial statements, operating performance, and credit risk drivers
โ€ข build and maintain financial models to project cash flows, assess leverage, covenant compliance, and downside scenarios
โ€ข prepare high quality investment memoranda and support Portfolio Managers during Investment Committee discussions with clear analysis and recommendations
โ€ข evaluate new primary market opportunities by reviewing offering materials, attending management or bank calls, and assessing deal terms and documentation
โ€ข monitor secondary market positions, tracking performance, pricing, and credit developments, and flagging risks or opportunities to the investment team
โ€ข support ongoing portfolio monitoring by updating models, preparing credit reviews, and contributing to risk, valuation, and investor reporting

The Credit Investments Group ("CIG"), a business unit within the Investments division of Asset Management, is an industry leader in managing over $57 billion in non-investment grade credit assets across bank loan, high yield bond and structured product portfolios. CIG is one of the largest leveraged credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York, London and Zurich. The investment process is predicated on bottom-up credit selection, which has generated favorable risk-adjusted returns with lower relative volatility than the benchmark for the last 25 years.
Your expertise
โ€ข ideally 3-7 years of experience in corporate/leveraged finance or credit (research) investing; investment banking / leveraged finance experience preferred
โ€ข strong finance & accounting skills, including cash flow analysis and earnings quality assessment
โ€ข solid understanding of capital structures, leverage, and credit ratios
โ€ข fundamental credit analysis capability, including default risk, recovery dynamics, and covenant protection
โ€ข ability to read and interpret loan agreements and bond indentures, identifying key covenants, structural risks, and legal protections
โ€ข strong written and verbal communication skills; self starter who thrives in a flat team, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
โ€ข United States - New York - New York min USD 120000 - max USD 150000 /annum
