Naval Shipbuilding Project Manager
The Opportunity:
As a project management spe cia list, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it's imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That's why we need you, an experience d project management spe cia list who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.
On our team, you'll implement and maintain autonomous shipbuilding acquisition programs in support of our client. As an integral member of the team, you will be tasked with supporting the Assistant Program Manager ( APM ) in charge of future variants of an Unmanned Surface Vessel program. You will provide assistance to the APM in the form of tracking and reporting on schedule execution, finan cia l execution against benchmarks, supporting develop ment of Request for Proposal ( RFP ) documentation, tracking and reporting project risks as well as develop ing suggested risk mitigation strategies, develop ment of briefings and project documents for presentation to senior military officers and Navy civilians, and ensuring consistent high-level product delivery to the APM.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, ship fabrication or shipyard management working through all phases of design, construction, delivery, and acceptance
  • 5+ years of experience develop ing data-driven presentations that inform senior leaders on the finan cia l, schedule, and risk status of ongoing projects relative to established plans that not only inform leadership but also drive decision-making
  • 5+ years of experience providing support to government clients, and operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented dynamic environment where product quality is key and done consistently at a high level
  • 5+ years of experience with using Micro sof t Products such as Project, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point
  • 3+ years of experience supporting RFP develop ment
  • Knowledge of DoW acquisition guidance such as 5000.2G, including working with Request for Proposals ( RFP ) , Statements of Work ( SOW ) , CDRLs, and contract artifacts, and how these documents interact with one another
  • Ability to self-start to exceed client expectations
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in marine autonomy
  • Experience with contract management
  • Experience managing multiple projects within scope, budget , and timeline
  • Knowledge of working with regulatory bodies such as US Coast Guard ( USCG ) , American Bureau of Shipping ( ABS )
  • Ability to read and comprehend ship construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail, multitask, and display a customer service orientation
  • Possession of strong organization, management, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or other relevant field
  • Project Management Professional or DAWIA certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
