Job description

Lead safety for the construction and launch of a state of the art manufacturing facility, shaping how safety is built into the operation from the ground up.

Own the journey from construction through Day 1 and beyondโ€”building the programs, culture, and team youโ€™ll ultimately lead as Site Safety Manager.

Key job responsibilities

This role serves as the primary Safety subject matter expert and strategic partner for construction leadership, contractors, engineering teams, operations, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The Construction Safety Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive construction safety programs designed to identify hazards early, reduce or eliminate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a strong safety culture from initial construction through operational readiness.

A day in the life

As an AMS Construction Safety Manager, youโ€™ll be where the action isโ€”partnering with construction leaders, engineers, contractors, and operations teams to solve complex safety challenges. Your day may include walking active construction sites, evaluating high-risk work, reviewing equipment installations, leading risk assessments, or developing solutions that keep projects moving safely. Youโ€™ll influence critical decisions, eliminate hazards before they reach production, and build the programs and mechanisms that will support the facility for years to come. Most importantly, youโ€™ll help build the Safety team and culture youโ€™ll ultimately lead as the facility transitions from construction to full manufacturing operations.

About the team

AMS is a fast-moving, innovative organization where talented people come together to solve complex challenges and build whatโ€™s next. Our culture is grounded in teamwork, ownership, safety, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional results. Team members are encouraged to bring new ideas, challenge assumptions, learn from one another, and make a meaningful impact. Safety is foundational to how we operate and is embraced as a shared responsibility across the organization. Whether designing equipment, building facilities, or supporting operations, AMS teams work collaboratively toward a common goal: creating worldโ€‘class manufacturing environments where innovation, continuous improvement, and people can thrive together.
