Union Church is looking for a Production Director with strong technical skills and a heart for ministry. This role oversees lighting, audio, and video production, ensuring a seamless and engaging worship experience. The ideal candidate is proficient in one discipline, knowledgeable in the others, and committed to building and leading a volunteer production team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
  • Oversee lighting, audio, and video systems for services and events, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment, handling repairs within budget.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Volunteer Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers (Dream Team) to support production needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team environment, empowering volunteers with skills and confidence.
  • Communicate clear guidelines to ensure efficient teamwork.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Handle email, scheduling, and production planning for campus needs.
  • Complete credit card reconciliations and manage budget responsibly.
  • Maintain regular communication with central production leadership.
  • Spiritual Commitment:
  • Model a personal relationship with Jesus, fostering spiritual growth.
  • Stay open to learning and development, both in technical skills and ministry impact.


Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in one area (lighting, audio, or video) with working knowledge of the others.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a production role, preferably in a church or similar setting.
  • People Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a natural ability to lead and engage volunteers.
  • Problem-Solving: Resourceful and quick to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Low-Cost Integrations Knowledge: Familiar with small-scale solutions for AV, streaming, and video equipment.
  • Faith & Integrity: Committed to the Christian faith and creating impactful worship experiences.


MUST-HAVES:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in field
  • 3-5 years of experience leading teams of diverse skillsets
  • A portfolio of previous work (necessary for full consideration)


    ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

    • Flexible schedule. (Workweek is Sunday-Thursday. Frequent night and weekend availability will be requested)
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand for 30 minutes.
