Job description

Security Guards with Second Baptist Church are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Church and School property, employees, students, members and guests, by monitoring parking lots, buildings and surveillance equipment. Respond to emergency situations and medical calls for service.

Guards are to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to prevent theft, injury or unauthorized access to property and buildings. Perform customer service to those needing assistance, such as escorts, vehicle jump starts, slim jim.

Act as a deterrent to criminal activity by being ever vigilant and aware of their surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

Patrol and Monitor

Incident Response

Assist in any evacuation

Detain or Escort Subjects

Document and photograph incidents

Work well with Law Enforcement

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

21 Years of age

No criminal record

Good Credit

Ability to be licensed by the State of Texas as an Armed Security Officer

Good driving record

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

Strong observation and communication skills

Pass a state Psychological test

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Up to 5 miles a day.

Able to lift, carry or drag a person to safety

Ability to work in harsh weather conditions

Ability to work weekend, day, evenings, nights and holidays
