Starting Range: $14.71/hourly to $16.92/hourly.

The United Pentecostal Church International is currently recruiting for the position of Receptionist within Global Missions. The purpose of this position is to answer inquiries and provide information to the general public, ministers, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the proper person.
  • Update Global Missions on daily schedules and monthly itineraries for select staff.
  • Serve as communications liaison for the General Director, by request.
  • Respond to work order system within one business day and follow up on items that take longer.
  • Meet and greet visitors to Global Missions, determine the nature and purpose of the visit, and direct or escort them to a specific destination.
  • Analyze requests to determine answers to questions and provide answers based on approved guidelines.
  • Transmit information to the general public, ministers, or other staff using a computer, mail, or fax machine.
  • Provide support to the Administrative Team by performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing and maintaining records, processing paperwork, and other items, as needed.
  • Responsible for conference room reservations for all Global Mission staff on Outlook Calendar.
  • Ordering and inventory of all office supplies, food, snacks, drinks, and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintain a neat and clean kitchen and storage room areas and conference room in the Global Missions area.
  • Perform duties, such as straightening magazines or replenishing candy, to maintain the reception area.

Minimum Training and Experience Required

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365 (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Experience with office equipment (specifically computer, multi-line switchboard, scanner, fax machine, printer).
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in providing customer service and personal service, which includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
