Position Description

The Production Director at The Pursuit Church is the primary leader responsible for creating excellent, distraction-free environments where people can encounter God through worship and the Word. This role provides the vision and technical oversight for audio, lighting, video, and streaming across all services and campuses. The ideal candidate has a heart for ministry and a burning desire to use technology as a tool to support preaching and worship, ensuring that every seat-whether in-person or online-is the best seat in the house.

Responsibilities

  • Visionary Leadership: Provide overall leadership to the Production team, overseeing the technical execution of all regular services and special events.
  • Volunteer Development: Lead the recruiting, onboarding, and training of volunteers, empowering them to excel in sound, lighting, and media roles.
  • Multi-Campus Coordination: Ensure organizational alignment and consistent production quality across all campuses, including the management of digital content and presentation materials.
  • System Stewardship: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of all production equipment, ensuring systems are current and performing at the highest level.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Worship Director and Lead Team to proactively enhance the attendee experience through creative technical solutions.
  • Culture Building: Foster a supportive, ministry-aligned team culture that reflects the heart and values of The Pursuit.

Other Responsibilities

  • Be available for "all-in" church moments and special events.
  • Engage in ongoing leadership development.
  • Attend required regular weekly/monthly staff and team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Team.

Position Requirements

  • Technical Expert - Proficient in live sound mixing, lighting control, presentation software, and streaming platforms.
  • Equipper - A natural ability to teach complex technical skills to volunteers with varying experience levels.
  • Strategic Planner - Able to look at the big picture and develop an annual plan to scale and grow the ministry.
  • Team Builder - Experienced in recruiting, mentoring, and developing a healthy team culture.
  • Problem Solver - Remains calm under pressure and excels at real-time troubleshooting in live environments.
