June 1, 2027 - May 31, 2029 (2-Year Residency)
Compensation
This is a fundraised position supported through personal ministry partnership.
  • Total Fundraising Goal: $46,000 annually
  • Base Salary: $32,000 annually (fundraised)
  • Benefits: Provided through Reliant (included in total fundraising goal)
  • Support: Training, coaching, and systems provided to help residents build and sustain a healthy support team

Employment is contingent upon meeting agreed-upon fundraising benchmarks prior to the start date.
Position Summary
The Salt Company Resident is a two-year developmental role designed to train and equip future ministry leaders within The Salt Company and Citizens Church.
Residents commit to growing spiritually, developing ministry competency, and engaging in hands-on mission to college students. This role is both formational and missional and is aimed at preparing residents to step into long-term ministry leadership roles following completion of the residency.
Job Responsibilities
Administration & Coordination
  • Serve as a primary leader in the administration and coordination of The Salt Company, ensuring strong execution, organization, and communication across the ministry
  • Own key systems, workflows, and logistics that support weekly gatherings, events, and follow-up
  • Help drive clarity, alignment, and operational effectiveness across the team
  • Contribute to planning and execution of Salt Company gatherings and ministry initiatives

Discipleship & Pastoral Ministry
  • Lead 1-2 student leader discipleship groups (weekly meetings with 3-5 female student leaders)
  • Meet with 5-7 students weekly (primarily freshmen)
  • Provide spiritual care, mentorship, and leadership development for students

Campus Mission & Outreach
  • Participate in and help execute campus outreach strategies
  • Engage in gospel follow-up with new students
  • Contribute to mission trips and evangelistic initiatives

Staff Development
  • Meet weekly with a Salt Company staff member for discipleship and coaching
  • Attend and actively contribute to all Salt Company staff meetings
  • Participate in required Salt Network events:
    • Salt Company Conference
    • Salt Leadership Summit
    • Potential global retreat

Church Involvement (Citizens Church)
  • Serve as a full staff member within Citizens Church
  • Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
  • Serve in Sunday responsibilities and special events
  • Contribute to the broader mission of Citizens Church
